This resort, which was named by “GOLF Magazine” to its 1998 list of “Silver Medal Resorts,” has two regulation eighteen hole courses. These two courses are set among lava fields and alongside the ocean. The Beach Course is more of a resort course because of its narrow fairways. The Kings’ Course is more of links-style design because it features deep sand bunkers. A LPGA tournament was held here in 1992. This course has received some rave reviews including “Golf Digest’s” ranking as one of the best new courses in America, and most recently as the 14th “Best in State” course for 1995. Daily one-hour clinics, private lessons and one and three-day schools are offered.
