This course is one of the finer public courses in Orange County and should be joined by a second eighteen hole course in 2000. This is a very easy course to score well on if you hit the ball a long way. The tree-lined fairways are somewhat open, and the greens are large. The terrain is basically flat and easy to walk. Most holes play straightaway, with the exception of #17, a 504-yard, par 5, where the fairway doglegs to the left. This is a typical municipal course: very busy, rather slow play, no dress code, and fivesomes are allowed. There are three ponds on the course, but only the one on hole #4 is really in play. The greens are average speed but due to the many rounds of golf that are played here, they are beginning to show signs of wear. If you haven’t visited this course in a few years, you’ll be surprised to learn that they have reversed the order of the front and back nines, actually speeding up play a little bit.
