This is the outstanding public course where the Senior PGA Tour’s Royal Caribbean Classic was held in 1994. The scenic course was built on Key Biscayne Island. The fairways are wide and generous, and the greens are large and medium speed. Water hazards (lakes, canals, and the bay) have been incorporated into the designs of over half the holes. The course was renovated by Robert von Hagge in 1993. “Golf Digest” chose the course 39th in the category of “Top 75 Public Courses” for 1990, and 62nd in the same category for 1996. It was also selected by the same publication as the 22nd “Best in State” course for 1997-98.
