This heavily-wooded course is located in a mountain setting at the base of Crowder Mountain State Park. The fairways are rolling, and the greens are average-sized. The signature hole, nicknamed “Young’s Revenge,” is #14, a 560-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot that you must keep under 215 yards or you’ll end up in the lake, then a second lay-up shot and finally an approach shot that must carry 125 yards of water hazard to the green. Water hazards come into play on some of the other holes.
