This course’s fairways vary in width and the thickness of its tree lines. The greens are undulating, and two of them are double-tiered. There are fairway and green side bunkers coming into play throughout the course. The signature hole is #13, a 415-yard, par 4, with a slight dogleg right fairway, and requiring an approach shot to an elevated, double-tiered green that has one large oak tree guarding the right and two bunkers protecting the left. The sports editor of the “Boston Globe” claims that hole #13 is one of the eighteen toughest public holes in the state.
