This mountain course is located in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountain Range. The fairly flat front nine has been built in a meadow, but there is some mounding on a couple of holes that will cause uneven lies. The back nine is very hilly, so be prepared to hit many up and downhill shots. The front nine is longer than the back nine, with three holes measuring over 420 yards from the men’s tee. The signature hole is #15, a 489-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg left, narrow fairway that ranges between twenty to thirty yards in width. The blind second shot plays uphill to the left. If you can’t hit a tee shot about 285 yards, you’ll have an awkward angle up the hill for your second shot. There are several sand bunkers incorporated throughout the course’s design, and the greens are very fast, medium to large in size and undulating. There is a concrete ditch that crosses many of the fairways, but local rules allow for a free drop if you hit into it. William F. Bell redesigned two of his holes in 1977, and Algie Pulley also redesigned two holes in 1976.
