This course’s greens are slightly sloped and easy to read. The fairways are wide open, and water hazards (three ponds) come into play on four holes. In addition, a liberal number of sand bunkers were strategically placed on the course, so shot accuracy is at a premium. Holes #1 through #9 are nicknamed, “The Habitat.” Holes #10 through #18 are nicknamed, “The Gardner-Buskirk Course,” because they bear family names of previous landowners on which these holes are located. Bruce Matthews remodeled this course.
