The Rouge River flows through this course, coming into play on eight holes. The 1947 PGA Championships were held here. The fairways are wide but extremely hilly. All the greens are elevated, and three of them are multi-tiered. Most of the greens are well guarded by sand bunkers. The signature hole is #18, a par 5. This finishing hole has a green surrounded by either sand bunkers or the river. The ladies’ par is actually 75.
