This very wide and flat course has tree-lined fairways on the back nine. However, the front nine has many water hazards, plus there are sand bunkers and grass bunkers placed strategically throughout the course. Guests must be accompanied by a member in order to play this course. This club was originally founded in 1894 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. It was also recognized by “GOLF Magazine” in their 1995 list of the “First 100 Clubs in America.” Donald Ross redesigned the original nine holes when he added the back nine in 1927. Geoffrey Cornish and William G. Robinson later redesigned nine holes in 1964.
