Golf Course Description

This facility offers two outstanding eighteen hole courses that are considered by some to be the best in Northern California. These courses, located within a private residential community, have large undulating greens and tight tree-lined fairways. There are seven holes where water hazards come into play. The Senior PGA Tour’s Raley’s Senior Gold Rush Tournament was held here every October until 1996. The North Course has fairways built on rolling terrain. The greens are very fast and undulating. The course plays longer than it measures. The 6,335-yard men’s tee also has a ladies’ course rating of 77.5 and a slope of 143. The 5,608-yard ladies’ tee also has a men’s course rating of 66.8 and a slope of 124. The South Course also has some hills that become a factor. There are water hazards that come into play on a couple holes, and many trees line the fairways. The 6,307-yard men’s tee also has a ladies’ course rating of 75.9 and a slope of 132. The 5,583-yard ladies’ tee also has a men’s course rating of 66.6 and a slope of 125. The North Course was originally designed by Burt Stamps, and then later redesigned by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay in 1988.
