This resort course is mountainous and demands target-style golf. The club personnel’s motto is, “If you play Sugarbush, bring a lot of balls.” The course is located at the bottom of the Sugarbush Ski Resort. The fairways are narrow, the holes feature many blind shots from off the tee boxes and the greens are severely undulating. Five ponds and one creek come into play on seven holes. The signature hole is #14, a 475-yard, par 5, requiring shots up a dogleg left fairway to a gradually sloping green. “Golf Digest” rated this course as the 5th “Best Public Course” in the state for 1996.
