This resort has two regulation eighteen hole courses and a nine hole executive course. The nine hole Challenger Course is a great course for beginners and seniors who like to walk. The Monster Course has been rated by “Golf Digest” as one of the top 100 courses in the country for the past twenty-six years. In 1992, it was ranked as the 45th Best Resort Course in the United States by “Golf Digest,” and the 9th “Best Public Course” for 1996. They also ranked it as the 14th “Best in State” for 1995-96, and the 17th best for 1997-98. The same publication ranked it 72nd among the “Top 75 Upscale Courses” for 1996. In addition, “GOLF Magazine” rated this course 77th best under the 1996 category of the “Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S.” This course has several water hazards positioned throughout its design. Because of this course’s length, riding carts are mandatory. The scorecard on the Monster Course does not show any information regarding ladies’ tees, nor does it list a slope or course rating for the championship tees. Ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men on the Challenger Course. The green fees for the Challenger Course do not include cart fees because walking is mandatory.
