This course was designed to play through the natural terrain of a canyon and is home to an abundance of wildlife. The club personnel state that this course is always in great condition. There are many trees which can alter your shots, and the terrain is rolling. In addition, water hazards come into play on six holes. The signature hole is #17, a 399-yard, par 4, requiring an accurate tee shot up a dogleg left fairway, then an approach over the Tijeras Creek to a double-tiered green.
