This course has narrow, tree-lined fairways. The large greens are undulating. Water only comes into play on one hole. The most difficult hole is #15, a 429-yard, par 4, requiring an accurate tee shot up a dogleg left fairway. “Golf Digest” rated this course as the 8th “Best Public Course” in the state for 1996, and they also gave it a ranking of 56th among the “Top 75 Public Courses” for 1990. The park has many other activities such as swimming in the outdoor pool, canoes, fishing, hiking trails, backpacking, picnic grounds, and tennis courts. Falls Creek Falls is the highest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains, plunging 256 feet.
