This course has been recognized as being a Signature National Audubon Course (in recognition for conservation and preservation efforts). Indian River is only the third course in the United States to receive this distinguished honor. Because of the various terrain, this course will challenge all skill levels of golfer. Hole #2, a 327-yard, par 4, which is nicknamed “Intimidation,” features a water hazard that requires a tee shot of over 200 yards to carry, and requiring an approach shot to a small, double-tiered green guarded by both sand and grass bunkers. The 5,734-yard men’s tee also has a ladies’ course rating of 73.2 and slope of 139. The 5,149-yard ladies’ tee also has a men’s course rating of 65.7 and slope of 118.
