601 E Main St Cortland, OH 44410
330-638-4653
This course, which extended from nine to eighteen holes in 1996, was built on predominantly flat terrain, but there are some hills which can cause uneven lies. Walnut Run Creek flows through this course and comes into play on six holes, plus there are several well-placed sand bunkers you’ll want to avoid. The large greens vary in undulation, and the trees, which are scattered about the course, will sometimes force you to alter your shots. Hole #6, a 415-yard, par 4, requires a 200-yard tee shot between a lake and a rock, and a long second shot to reach the green in two. A player can try to cut the dogleg fairway with a shot over the rock, leaving them with a shorter approach, but it is not without risk. The green has three separate levels and drops six feet vertically.
