This club has two regulation eighteen hole courses. These wooded courses were built on rolling terrain, so you can expect some uneven lies. The Stonehedge Course gets its name from the rock piles that line its fairways. Quite a few holes are breathtakingly scenic. The slightly sloped greens are both difficult to read and well bunkered. The fairways also have plenty of sand bunkers. Because of the excessive trees on the course, the wind is not much of a factor. There are no lakes or ponds, but the tree-lined fairways are very narrow and many of them are lined with out-of-bounds stakes. The other tee shown is an additional men’s tee. “Golf Digest” gave this course a rating of three and one half stars out of a possible five for public courses in the State of Michigan. In addition, “Golf Digest” rated this course as the 66th best under the category of “America’s Top 75 Affordable Courses” in their 1996 list of “America’s Best Golf Courses Everyone Can Play.” The newly built North Course has water hazards coming into play on holes #7, #8, and #11. The longest hole, measured from the back tee, is #5, a 565-yard, par 5.
