This is a very demanding course. The greens are fast and difficult to read. Water hazards come into play on a few holes. Hole #8, a 406-yard, par 4, requires a carry of at least 175 yards to clear Lake O’Dowd. A leisurely ferryboat ride will take you to the fairway where your approach shot will need to negotiate its way past a 100-year-old oak tree guarding the green.
