This course’s back nine was designed to play alongside both the Grand River and a large lake. The front nine, a Scottish-links design, features moguls in its fairways, plus well-bunkered fairways and greens. One hole is highlighted by its island green, while the following hole requires a shot from off an elevated peninsula tee box. The tree-lined fairways on the back nine are flat and easy to walk. Overall, water hazards come into play on twelve holes, including every hole on the back nine. The signature hole is #13, a 211-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a lake to a green framed by mature trees.
